U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen spoke to union leaders yesterday to kick off the Nevada AFL-CIO’s 67th Constitutional Convention and discuss her efforts to support Nevada workers and the rights of organized labor.
“Nevada workers deserve to be able to organize, get paid fairly, and have safe working conditions so that they can build a good life for themselves and their families,” said U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen. “I’m fighting every day in the Senate to stand up for hardworking Nevadans, and I’ll continue working with the AFL-CIO to ensure all workers receive the respect and dignity they deserve on the job.”
In the Senate, Rosen has fought to raise the federal minimum wage, pass the PRO Act to protect workers’ right to form a union and collectively bargain, guarantee paid sick leave and family leave, and improve access to affordable health care. She has also helped introduce legislation to lower taxes for Nevada families by expanding the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit.
