Rosen Responds to Heller’s Vote for Dangerous Anti-Choice Bill

Today, Nevada Rep. and U.S. Senate candidate Jacky Rosen responded to Sen. Dean Heller’s vote to advance legislation that would enact a reckless, ideologically-motivated abortion ban.

“Given his lengthy record of voting to defund Planned Parenthood and weaken women’s access to health care, it should come as no surprise that Sen. Heller just voted for this dangerous and unconstitutional bill,” said Rosen. “At the end of the day, these are complex medical decisions that Nevada women need to be able to make with their families and their doctors, without Washington politicians like Sen. Heller trying to interfere. If Sen. Heller stays in office, he will continue pushing a political agenda that seeks to undermine Roe v. Wade and chip away at a woman’s right to choose.”

Rosen opposed this bill when House Republicans passed it in 2017. Nevada is a state where a majority of voters have long supported a woman’s right to control her future and choose if, when and how to start a family.
