IT’S OFFICIAL: Jacky’s running against Trump-endorsed extremist Sam Brown.

Meet Jacky

Jacky is the granddaughter of immigrants and the daughter of a World War II veteran. Growing up in a working class family, Jacky was the first in her family to graduate from college. She worked multiple jobs – including as a cocktail waitress at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas – and took out student loans to make ends meet. After working as a computer programmer in Southern Nevada, she stepped away from her career to take care of her aging parents and in-laws. Before running for office, Jacky was a community leader in Henderson and served as the president of her synagogue.

In 2016, Jacky ran for Congress and won, flipping a highly competitive Republican-held district. In 2018, she ran for the U.S. Senate and was the only Democratic challenger in the country to unseat a Republican incumbent that year, becoming the second woman Senator in Nevada history. Jacky is now the only Jewish woman currently serving in the Senate.

In the Senate, Jacky has consistently worked with Republicans and Democrats to deliver results for Nevada. She has passed bipartisan laws to rebuild Nevada’s infrastructure and protect veterans exposed to toxic burn pits. She has stood up to leaders of her own party to support more funding for border security and stand with police officers against attacks. Jacky is also working across the aisle to make more investments in technical training programs and apprenticeships so that hardworking Nevadans can gain the skills they need for good-paying jobs – even if they don’t go to college. Because of her track record, Jacky has been recognized as one of the most bipartisan, independent, and effective Senators in the country during her first term.

Jacky has never hesitated to take on powerful special interests to bring down costs for hardworking Nevada families. She successfully took on the big drug companies to cap the cost of insulin at $35 per month and allow Medicare to negotiate for lower prescription drug prices for the first time ever, and she’s continuing to work to lower prices for life-saving medications. She’s worked to address the housing crisis in Nevada by securing millions of dollars to build more housing that regular people can afford, introducing a plan to lower costs for first-time homebuyers, and pushing back on corporate investors who are buying up housing stock and driving up prices. Jacky has also taken on price gouging by Big Oil CEOs raking in record profits while raising prices and big grocery store chains trying to reduce competition at the expense of consumers.

Jacky is also committed to addressing Nevada’s doctor and nursing shortage, standing up for reproductive freedom, cracking down on political corruption in Washington, supporting our servicemembers and veterans, and advocating for comprehensive immigration reform that fixes our current broken system. These are some of Jacky’s top priorities that she is fighting for every day in the Senate.
